Thomistic Institute at Brown University
exists to promote Catholic truth in our contemporary world by strengthening the intellectual formation of Christians at universities, in the Church, and in the wider public square. The thought of St. Thomas Aquinas, the Universal Doctor of the Church is the touchstone for the Institite's many programs.
The Thomistic Institute is part of the
Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception
Dominican House of Studies
in Washington, DC, and is directed by Brown alumnus, Fr. Thomas Joseph White, O.P. '93.
At Brown-RISD we have an active undergraduate student chapter of the Thomistic Institute, which among other things, organizes a cycle of lectures by prominent theologians throughout the year.
